nice! have you seen the 1200 competitions they hold over the channel? can't recall where exactly.
they have an NA class and a power adder class, just meet up and do some dyno pulls ect.

i'm keen to enter one year, the turbo record is 167bhp i think.... and i'm currently stripping my 1200 at the minute to build up

The Alfa F57 that came with the carbs is actually smoother than the F11, strange as F11 is normally the goto Emulsion tube for VWAC Perhaps the F57 is more suited to the small capacity engine

Will be doing some 0-60 testing soon, will let you know the times
From my knowledge of emulsion tubes they kinda work inversely to the revs/load the engine is at.
So at low revs the holes at the top of the tube are being used and as the revs rise the fuel level drops exposing the lower holes.

Hence you can fine tune your AFR by adding or removing holes at the respective point on the tube for the revs and load. The bigger or more holes then the richer the mixture becomes. I think it's richer, could be leaner as been ages since I messed around with this.

I fine tuned my 1641 with twin ICT's and a 009 along with lighter springs in the 009.

HI Folks

Did some comparison test runs between F57 Etubes and F11 Etubes.
Whilst the F57 seem smoother, the F11 works better in my 1200 set up and much quicker/aggressive above 3500 rpm
Just over a full 1 second difference in my 0 to 50 acceleration tests.

So...more testing done on the new HOT 1200

Testing started with a 0-50mph = 12.66secs

Changed the F57 tubes out for F11's

Times improved down to 11.59secs

Minor tweaking and jet changes

Best time recorded so for
0-50MPH 11.22secs

Jetting all sorted......got a 0-50 time of bang on 11 secs

Final IDF set up
Choke 26
Main 112
F11
Air 220
Idle 57
pump 35

I know the idle looks big, but this is needed to componsate for the large idle intake bushings that are fitted to these Alfa Type IDF 36'S
Seems a very happy snappy little motor.....

more jetting and now convinced I am about 95% there...that's all you are ever going to get with carbs!
Started playing with the Air Jets.....and oh my what a difference, seems the motor likes the Air jet +50 times bigger than the main jet...
Ended up with 107main and a 160 air and it flys through the transition onto the mains......great fun, doubt it will live long....
