After the stuff i had it scared the shit out of me , to think i bought it from a main supplier from ebay. I went to there place as i pass it every day, they looked at my buggy and the way it was fitted , (clipped ever 4 inch in rubber p clips) they informed me there was nothing wrong with there hose it was because i put a curve in it !!!( a radius of 4-6 inch), i did ask if you cant put a curve in the pipe why did it come on a fucking roll !!!. I now have hard lines with rubber R9 joints. that i check very regularly !!

So I just ordered the 100% Bio Fuel hose from AFS, this is NOT the same as the one you had that cracked is it?

The 100% Bio Fuel Hose is

FUEL HOSE ACCORDING TO DIN 73379
Type 3E (Rev. 11/97)

Well im going to give the 100% BIO hose a go it is 0.1mm smaller than the standard but hope will fit.

I do have some r9 from volksbolts in reserve plus volksbolts excellent hose clamps.

Im my beetle I have run a new copper fuel feed inside the tunnel (don't understand why people find this so difficult to do)

I have then a copper hard line going through to the engine

so there will be hose from tank to tunnel then hose from tunnel to fuel filter under parcel shelf area (NOT IN ENGINE BAY) then hose from fuel filter to hard line through to engine, then hose from hard line to fuel pump and hose from fuel pump to carb. I have hose clamps on all fittings and also two cable ties on the carb hose and car hose pipe boss so if there was ever any letting go of the carb barbed pipe then the ties would hold it firm

Just read about work hardening due to vibration but all by brake lines are copper to and have not caused any problems.

The fuel pipe is secured in the tunnel with some cable ties, any probs and it would start to stink real quick
