Default Timing a Vacuum only advance distributor - quick question

The engine on my 1970 1300sp is running the stock solex 30pict2 with a vacuum only (no centrifugal) advance distributor.
Timing should be 7.5*BTDC so thats what i've set it as statically and thats what it also is at idle when using a strobe with the vac line off and plugged.

My bay had an SVDA dizzy so i could set be set at max 30* advance at around 3000 revs but i understand i can't do that with a vacuum only dizzy. Is that right?

Specs in the manual says 7.5*BTDC at idle.
Managed to get it idling at 850-900revs and it idles and revs nicely now.
Couldn't get it to idle any lower than about 2000 revs which turned out to be a tiny weeny piece of fluff in the idle jet.

Watching the advance with a stobe and it advances smoothly when revved. Seems to pull OK and return to an even idle so i'll leave it like that for now and just take a 10mm spanner out with me next time incase i need to do some slight adjustment.
