Aircooled Mechanical Tech A Q & A Forum devoted to Aircooled Mechanical Issues. Got a problem? Then ask in here. Please, no 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your 'business', links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled 'What's My Car Worth?' threads and "Who Can Sell Me A . . ." posts.

Default Moby's Diagrams Archive

Guys -

With reference to my earlier "Moby's Manual" thread - I thought I'd start a new thread specifically to re-publish any of those really useful diagrams & photos that Moby used so well to illustrate things.

If you have any saved on your machine, please add them below so they can be useful to everyone else.

I saved a few just in case they came in useful because I knew that Moby deleted them after a while (possibly to protect his work - who knows ?)

So here you go - (it's possible that some of these did not originally come from Moby but as I didn't make note when I saved them I can't be certain)

Starting the engine -

Beetle floorpan diagram -

Carb adjustment 1 -

More carb adjustment -

Gearbox input shaft seal extractor tool -

Replacing clutch return spring -

Link pin shim table -

VW Beetle tow bar (Peka) -

Hope you find them useful - please add your Moby pictures below.

(Many thanks to Moby - R.I.P.)

Dave.

I've got a copy of how to fit a new Beetle karmann convertible roof cover, all models, including headlining, padding kit, wires, foams and top.

It's not Moby's work, but I'd be willing to scan it and add it to anything. Is that the kind of thing we're after?
