Default Amarok Insurance renewal shock

just got the renewal notice for the Amarok at 690 per year, brokered by A Plan using Zenith as the insurer...with Zenith direct its 528, Admiral 461, and with Aviva it comes in at less than 400. Can someone explain why the Aviva quotes are 300 or so less for the same cover with A Plan?

They want your business and the others don't?

I think thats about the long and the short of it, Glen. I spoke to A Plan earlier Saturday 2nd and the adviser was quite disinterested....I certainly wont use them again

Hello,

I have checked all our lapsed Zenith policies and you were not insured via this branch.

We do have special schemes in our office, so I would be interested in talking to the A-Plan branch that insured you.

Please can you PM me your name and postcode as I would like to look into this.

Kind regards

Dan Cameron

Aviva do seem very cheap across the board at the moment but better as separate policies, not their multi-car policy, which seems strange.
They're gradually getting more and more from us and we're saving every time.

I imagine there are the same kind of illogical shenanigans going on behind the scenes as LT and Alfie describe in the motor trade. Most brokers seem to specialise in particular groups of customers; change car type, postcode, pass a significant birthday or get a conviction/claim and the goalposts move.

It's a PITA for sure.

Hello,

Just wanted to say thanks again for your time and hope the information and the revised price helped.

At the A-Plan Schemes office we have insurers in place for Pick-up's, classics, modified and campers and our rates are very competitive.

If I can be of any further help then please let me know.

Kind regards

A-plan quoted me 430 today for theT25 multivan. 250 more than I advised them I already had. Don't know why I bothered. A guy called Matthew didn't seem too interested

No worries and it was really nice chatting to you

Just checked and I am at Dubs of Anarchy that weekend.

Its a shame as my girlfriend has family from Doncaster and we could have seen them and come to the show as she really is VW mad.

Maybe next year

All the best
Dan
