Aircooled Mechanical Tech A Q & A Forum devoted to Aircooled Mechanical Issues. Got a problem? Then ask in here. Please, no 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your 'business', links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled 'What's My Car Worth?' threads and "Who Can Sell Me A . . ." posts.

Default Where do I get hold of these?

Hi
Have a look at my photo. I need to get hold of some of these (the bit that I have put a red ring around), as somehow they have gone missing on my early bay. No idea what to call this part so cant find any to buy! Without them there, the hinge rods rattle when you are driving along, which is really irritating!
Cheers
Mike

Appears to be NLA, but the part no is 211 829 147B distance piece torsion bar.

Why not just buy a pencil rubber (eraser for anyone across the Atlantic) or get an exhaust hanger rubber from a scrappy drill a couple appropiately sized holes in it, then cut two slots into the holes on opposite sides/ends and Bob's your uncle.

I’d use one or two pieces of rubber hose split along the length and pushed over the torsion spring.
