Readers Rides Post pics, specs and build-up stories of your vehicles - or even your garages here. Also interesting stuff about your 'daily drivers' etc. or interesting cars you have seen on your travels, even motors-based TV shows you can recommend. Please, no 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your 'business', links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled 'What's My Car Worth?' threads and "Who Can Sell Me A . . ." posts.

As you may know I am building this car at work during my spare time. My boss is well up for it! However a couple of weeks ago I was made redundant, we all were. My boss only wants to make panels and there isn't enough work for more than just him.
I never wanted to just make the same panel over and over anyway, it's the restorations I love doing.

So where does this leave the special?

Rest assured that there is a plan! I thought long and hard about my options, but getting rid of it was never on the list!
No, I have gone self employed, and for the time being at least, rented half my current workshop. So I'm still working in the same place, just for myself. So the special still sits in its spot. Whether I will have as much time to spend on it remains to be seen. I do plan to make time though. If you can't find time for the fun stuff, really, what's the point?
So with that in mind, I bent up the tubes for the bonnet frame on the tube roller. Oh and the roll over hoops arrived
Best of luck bud. If you need work let me know, as you know I have a few contacts in the trade and also a few friends who like things made properly for their cars. Keep us up-dated on the special too!

I'm torn on this, love your bikes, but wanting an update to the special too! Have you considered cloning?

I still haven't quite decided how the back end will go. I have several ideas.
Also the solid disc on the front will have either a cut out, or some sort of art deco detailing. Again, I haven't decided yet!
