Taking the head off a 51 plate passat pd
Evening all.
Ive got to take the head off of a 2001-2002 passat 130 tdi. Im getting there slowly. Thing is im a bit stumped with the components at the back end of the head. Diesel pump and water pipes to heater (?). Anybody have any hints or tips about going about it please? Scratching my head. Cheers Rich |

The car was slightly overpressurising and coolant leaking from the overflow in the expansion tank (leaking passed the cap) but not over heating.
Turns out it was caused by a blocked heater matrix  .Not diagnosed by me but i got the gig of doing the head gasget. Wasn't to bad a job if memory serves. Bit tight at the back of the head as theres not a great deal of room because of the bulkhead. In the end i looked at the engine in my pd powered Seat Leon to figure out where the bolts etc are located and went from there. What problems are you having? Rich |
