Default Watched Captain America last night.

My Mrs is getting into the Marvel films and borrowed a load from her nephew to watch. Last night during the fight scene around the docklands of New York I spotted something very familiar. The old heritage market or Tobacco Warehouse to give it its' correct title. "The Dock road" (Regent Road) and the lift bridge which Brian had on one of his VW Action 2018 ads for the Ford/LOM stuff. I'm not sure how they had parts of the Brookland bridge in the background though. I'm sure it would have been on the local news if they had transported it here for the film set.
VW Action ad. See the Capri?
See the bridge behind the Capri?

Now see the bridge in the background?

and again.

The Brookland Bridge.

Now Google Maps but you won't see the Brookland Bridge anywhere.

I'm not sure what Hollywood are going to do for 'old America' locations now as the warehouse is being converted into posh apartments and The Titanic Hotel is now on the other side of the dock which is incidentally the entrance to the Leeds Liverpool canal.

Captain America was mostly filmed in the UK - and Stanley Dock doubles as the docks in Brooklyn, New York, I believe.

As an aside all the old Yank cars used in the film came up for sale a little while back - I was interested in a couple of them - but didn't end up buying one.

Even that shitbox taxi?
Also Brian, any idea why I keep getting the VW Action 2018 ad at the bottom of my page?
edit: It's cleared up now.

Yeah. I pay for a banner on the site. At the bottom of each page. It's not been updated to the 2019 one yet. I'm still working on the VW Action website - complicated by having to move to a new server and a complete 'shopping cart' update.

The banner rotates with my GTI one - that also needs updating.
