Alternate Engine Got a Scooby motor in the back of your dub? Or a V8? Alfa? You know a Porsche motor drops straight in - right? This is the forum for you. Please, no 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your 'business', links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled 'What's My Car Worth?' threads and "Who Can Sell Me A . . ." posts.

Default Water drip from expansion tank.

Anyone have any idea why I would have a water drip from the overflow tube on the metal expansion tank on the engine? New exhaust has brought it to light....it's still dripping ad now a sauna from the rear drip drip ssssssssss Doh!

Guessing filler tank too high or overpresurising for some reason, maybe cos I drive like a dick

Will have a look online for myself tonight and report back if find an answer

Surely the overflow outlet is doing its job if water is escaping from there? Just natural expansion, maybe there is too much water in the system?

Yeah maybe I did top it up recently. It seemed to be going down on the filler bottle but after a trip to Bugjam this year was still at full when got back so maybe should have left alone. I don't think over filling the filler bottle should cause this though.
