Default 66 Beetle wheel advice please.......

Hi,

I wondered please if I could ask for some advice regarding wheels selection for my 66 Beetle please?

So here is a picture of my Beetle and the current wheels that I have fitted.

I would like to fit a Fuch type wheel so I bought a set of these with 205 pcd.

Then I bought these with a Porsche 130 pcd and adapters for 205 pcd.

I've trial fitted both pairs and I'm not sure what to do as the first set my current wheel bolts are not long enough to fit them, the second set I'm mindful about the extra width the adapters may give and the profile on the tyres is way to low and I'm also thinking about clearance

My current wheels have F560 front and rear.

So could anyone advise me on which way I should go on this please, I'd really appreciate any help from the more experienced members.

Best regards

Willy....

Avoid adaptors. Just order an appropriate length of wheel bolts. To do this have a close look at where the bolt seats. Is it taper or radius? Then fit an appropriate bolt through it and figure out what length you need. This is best done by taking the drum off so you can make sure you get one the right length. Then go on ebay and order a generic bolt in the right size for a sensible price. I got a complete set delivered for less than 20.
