Go Back   VW Forum - VZi, Europe's largest VW, community and sales > Community > Chat/Discussion

Chat/Discussion Kind of like a VW club online - you can sit in our virtual pub and talk about whatever you want to. All opinions are valid, but please no insulting (other than to our intelligence,) abusive or libellous posts. Please feel free to post your opinion on any given subject, but also be aware that others have the equal right to disagree with you - and some will certainly tell you so. No 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your business, links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (please use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled "What's my car worth?" threads too (please use the 'Dude! What's My Car Worth?' forum) - and please don't use just to post links to other VW forums or websites - we are aware that other sites exist (obviously), but blatant 'plugs' (poaching) will simply be deleted.

Default Two songs that MUST be played together.

Another music thread.

Post up two songs that must be played together. You know the ones, you hear one on the radio and instantly think of another. They're so connected, you feel cheated if you don't hear the second one. They might be completely different genres. They could be two songs you heard on a date/break up/birthday/college/dancing on a podium in Faliraki, a few hours after England torn Holland apart in Euro 96.

Every time I hear 'It Takes Two', I get a vision of 'My Name is Earl'.

because when i was 17/18 you'd always hear both of these in a club (or at least the clubs i frequented). i loved the wildhearts, but have always thought the levellers were shit.

That's it, you might hate a song but it'll be forever linked in your mind to a good one.

The 900 number! I'd forgot all about that. It reminds me of Sunday nights. I've memories of The Tavern, near Bolton, dancing on tables and being in the boot of a girl's car and it being opened in the middle of nowhere*. Happy days.

*The middle of nowhere is actually somewhere near Smull's current manor.

Connected as they were the first tunes I heard back to back in my first car.
I had put together a mix tape of some of my favorite music at the time in readiness for my inaugural hoon around after I passed my driving test
