Default Outside Tap Required - Berkshire

I need an outside tap added to my house.

It *should* be easy but I have no skill and don't want to flood the house!

I've no idea what it would cost but don't have millions to do this.

Anyone fancy the job?

Unfortunately, youre just too far away from me to help. Not for a job that takes no time at all.

All I will say, as a proper Plumber that always does the job properly, make sure they fit an isolating point inside the house. Not only does this stop anyone using your water when they shouldnt be, but in winter you can isolate the ouside tap and drain out any existing water to prevent the pipe blowing in freezing weather.

I would, however, suggest one of these if you fancy a go yourself. It really is the easiest (and cheapest) way of doing it, and I can vouch for the quality of the kit.

The isolating tap even self seals and taps into the water supply while its all at normal pressure. Easy.

I've heard bad things about self tapping taps. I bought one ages ago but I know that when I cock it up it will all go pete tong!

Thats why I want someone to do it 'properly'.

I installed a self tapping type tap 10+ years ago - no problems to-date
