Plumbing in a washing machine into garage
Hi
Anyone in th Loughborough area who can plumb?
I have a washing machine that i want plumbing in, will need to run the cold from under the sink in the kitchen, around the edge of the garden and into the garage.
I need it to be able to work pretty much all year round so will need to be insulated.
Please PM me if your interested.
Dave

In that case, you will probably need it burying 750mm minimum, and a trace heater putting on too Don't expect to get it done for a tenner
All this is assuming it's a dettacthed garage and no internal route is available. Also, bear in mind the waste too

A tenner?! I was thinking a fiver
Seriously though i dont know about burying the pipe as its all crazy paving along the route from under the kitchen sink/bib tap around the edge of the garden, approx 20m into the corner of the garage.
Would a well lagged pipe with trace heating not work?
Id be ok with not using it when below about 3 Centigrade as its a second washing machine.
Plus if pipe is above ground its easier to fix any splits/leaks.
Oh and yes it is a detached garage, trying to create a little laundry/utility room at one end of the garage.
Thanks for the input zippy - are you a plumber by any chance?

WHS..
And by waste 67zippy means the dirty water that will be leaving the machine. Where's that going to go?

Hi Samba,
I was just going to run the waste out through the wall, theres a flower bed the other side of the wall which it could soak into.
Looks like im going to have trawl yellow pages and trusted plumber sites/reviews to find someone in local area as noone has pm'd me thought i could help someone out and save myslef a few quid at the same time, obviously recession hasn't hit plumbers

You will need a propper drainage sytem, a soakaway is only suitable for rain water
