Readers Rides Post pics, specs and build-up stories of your vehicles - or even your garages here. Also interesting stuff about your 'daily drivers' etc. or interesting cars you have seen on your travels, even motors-based TV shows you can recommend. Default Lock down time

As I’m currently off work on furlough leave & fortunate enough to have my car at home I’ve been busy in my garage working on my beetle. The rear brakes are fitted, bled & fully working including the handbrake. Bumpers are fitted & its down on its wheels. The car will sit lower at the rear once the engine & gearbox are fitted. This is my brake setup.

Standard dual circuit VW beetle (ATE) master cylinder with Porsche 944 reservoir.
Kunifer hard brake lines with stainless flare nuts. PTFE stainless braided flexi lines with stainless fittings.
Delphi brake pads front & rear.
986/987 Porsche Boxster/Cayman (2.7) rear calipers that have flipped & mounted to the front axle. Kerscher Tuning vented front brake discs. Rear brakes including parking brake mechanism are from a Porsche 944 turbo. I’ve used swans to adapt the Porsche parking brake mechanisms to VW beetle hand brake cables.

That just works, perfect choice of colour and wheel I never would have thought slopers would have suited that look, but man they do.
You could run a 1200 in that as it just looks so menacing no one would mess withy it
