Readers Rides Post pics, specs and build-up stories of your vehicles - or even your garages here. Also interesting stuff about your 'daily drivers' etc. or interesting cars you have seen on your travels, even motors-based TV shows you can recommend. She was still in her mid 20s so just a slip of a girl.

Managed to get the shocks back on the car today. Decided to double nut the not mounts as one of the nuts was slightly loose when i took them off even after using a spring washer under the nut.

Dug the old girl out of the garage so i could take the photos needed for her agreed value. Not often you can leave the car in the middle of the road and not have people complaining.

I had a quick blast round the neighbourhood about 5 weeks ago but thats been it. Sounded good with the tapertips, especially when driving alongside high walls as the sound bounces around nicely.
The 2 local shows it was booked into are cancelled for the this year so it might not see the light of day until next year now.

Looks great!

So glad to see this finished and back on the road after a few years away from the forum (I've been following the project since the start!). Love all the 70's period touches.

I wondered what had happened to you.

Its typical that i got it back on the road after nearly 2 decades only for a global pandemic to happen that means i can't use it.
Thats definately not something i was expecting.

I've tried to keep everything as period as i can. More old crap as my missus calls it.
I still want an orange and brown coolbox but they go for decent money on ebay and with no local car boots at the moment it'll just have to wait.

I managed to find some cold galvansing spray online for my roof rack so gonna tidy it up a bit. Bought some new stainless bolts for it too.

Just because theres no shows doesnt mean you cant use it. The fasty has been getting used plenty. Ive been shopping in it a couple of times and used it to pick up a presciption. The use does them some good, so take the ole girl for a ride out, theres no law that says you have to use a modern car for essential journeys
