Good evening , I have an interesting , well for me anyway, conversion job on a sixties split van, I am converting it to automatic transmission, it's previously been restored and has a creative engineering weedeater beam and CSP discs on the front , I am thinking of going to a French slammer beam and dropped spindles as I don't like the beam and the ride is nasty.
Anyway so far I have an auto box and some other bits and have a type 25 2 litre type 4 motor and was wondering ultimately what a good type 4 donor engine would be, it's going to end up with an upright fan conversion and with the auto trans I need torque so I am thinking more capacity , a cam and not necessarily the biggest carbs, it needs to pull cleanly from lower RPM, so anybody got suggestions on type 4 parts that work , or have any good type 4 parts etc, I also still need another auto gearbox as my one has a damaged bell housing, thanks Bill.
