Alternate Engine Got a Scooby motor in the back of your dub? Or a V8? Alfa? You know a Porsche motor drops straight in - right? This is the forum for you. Please, no 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your 'business', links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled 'What's My Car Worth?' threads and "Who Can Sell Me A . . ." posts.

latest update : the chassis is at the chassis shop for a roll cage and megasquirt is out the window... looked into rolling roading this system and would cost almost a grand to do... researched into others like emerald, dta and omex. Now Omex is what is gonna be but with a trigger wheel.

omex is the only one that has knock sensing, i'm supprised DTA hasn't...

Anyone know where to get OMEX systems from other than omex themselves ?

glad you are going the rollcage route. Who is building it for you? will it be tagged for drag racing, might as well. Just out of interest what happened to my old engine?

Try www.raceshack.co.uk for the Omex system- they are clued up on tuning it and also its use with Impreza engines if need be.

how do george. your old engine went to pongo on these forums for his razor edge. the rollcage is being built by a local classic race car place, if i'll ever use it on the strip it'll be RYWB as part of the cage will be bolted together to enable the shell to be taken off when needed.

do raceshack sell the omex system ?
I'll get some pics of it when I deliver the shell to them.
