Search Ebay for vag com scanner and buy one of those devices (usually in blue or orange and around a tenner + postage) Will put lights out and read codes most of the time.
V easy mate, just make sure you use the software with the lead as they are cracked together, google the how to use it took me a while to figure out that mine was the old vdo clocks but it will let you in to one of them, and I programmed a spare key for mine while I was at it
theres a reset when the faults must be cleared if the circuit has being broke.......... battery disconnected, or an airbag/seatbelt unpluged.
and then theres reprogramed when themain module loses its life having blown an airbag or bags. chris hughes in total tuning is the only man for the second job
I have now tried the two different systems and the light goes off during reset then immediately back on again, it has never been in a accident so I'm guessing a faulty sensor!, next stop mega bucks garage I guess
Looking at those error codes it's more likely the diagnostic tool is not working properly.

Just a update, I had a independent vw specialist look at it and confirmed the module was blown so in to vw it went, it took them 4 modules being ordered fitted and attempted to be matched before it worked. I got a massive discount due to them taking a week to sort it out so ended up very reasonable as well.
I'm so glad I took it to vw worth every penny.
Inchcape chelmsford I would recommend )))))
