Due to an imminent house move, I am parting out a number of cars from my personal collection.
I purchased this Lada a few years ago from an elderly chap who had owned the car for nearly 30 years, who used it seldomly to go to his local golf club!
When I purchased it, my original intention was to fit a Fiat twin-cam engine and use it for historic rallies, much to the dismay of the Lada fraternity given how original she is, so I decided to pass it one to another Lada enthusiast.
During his ownership, the car had a lot of money spent on it (over £2.5K!), freshening up the paintwork, fitting new trim parts, having the wheels fully refurbed and also replacing the original set of tyres which after 30 years, were getting a bit tired!
When I saw her back up for sale, I had to have her back as she's just one of those quirky cars which you just don't see!
So, much to my wife's dismay, I purchased the car back and once again she is in my possession and in dry / secure storage.
Over the past few weeks, I've had to be brutal and sell a lot of my private collection in order for us to fund our house move.
I would love for this to stay in the UK with a private collector.
Maybe I can buy it back for a 3rd time then!!
Mileage is 21k and genuine. There are a lot of the past MOT's with the car but more importantly, the condition alone will scream this out to you.
This is without a doubt the best 1600es in the UK and probably one of the best RHD examples in the world. Paintwork is superb, chromework is superb, and just showing the smallest amount of patina. Interior is superb, wheels are immaculate with no scuffs or kerbing.
Will listen to sensible offers from the right person.
please note, I am not a dealer or trader and therefore the car is sold as seen with no warranty expressed or implied. Please take in to account this is a 32 year old Lada. That said, I am very anal about the cars I buy and look after them extremely. They never see rain, are carefully cleaned/polsihed/waxed and generally spend their days in a covered unit, under a cover on a trickle charger and started once every 2 weeks to to keep things ticking over.
Car is MOT'd till July IIRC and is currently SORN'd.
Price is £3250 OVNO.
