The best pub campsite ever! Grimley, Worcestershire
We stopped one night at The Camp House Inn, Grimley on journey from Manchester to Devon a few weeks ago. The camping is basic with no hook ups and an ok toilet block in the field, but the biggest draw is the pub. Its on the canal with its own moorings so a lot of the customers are passing boat types, so it's got a really friendly atmosphere. They do loads of local ciders and beers and massive portions of food. We stayed in the pub chatting until well after closing time. It's in a really beautiful rural setting, and they have peacocks, chickens, ducks and kittens wandering around. I loved it! I think it only cost £4 per night or something like that. I'm sharing it with slight trepdiation as it was very quiet when we were there and it was so peaceful.
