Readers Rides Post pics, specs and build-up stories of your vehicles - or even your garages here. Also interesting stuff about your 'daily drivers' etc. or interesting cars you have seen on your travels, even motors-based TV shows you can recommend. Please, no 'For Sale' or 'Want To Buy' ads, plugs for your 'business', links to 'for sale' ads or Ebay links to your (or your mate's) auction (use the VZi 'Classifieds' section) - this also includes thinly veiled 'What's My Car Worth?' threads and "Who Can Sell Me A . . ." posts.

been a bit slow with the updates but have been getting on! sheel is very nearly ready for primer

Had a panel beater friend come down and beat the dents out of the roof, wish i'd taken a before photo, at some point someone had run over the roof so had some nice footprint dents all the way over. looking much better now though! little more to do yet but is very nearly there

got the other door repaired too, decided to put a new lower inner skin on this one as it was pretty rot out. Went for the more expensive red panel but still didnt fit particularly well. took a bit of messing about to get right.

also got the airtank, compressors and water traps all mounted in the back, decided this was a much neater way to do it rather the having them in the front as originally planned. made a load of threaded bosses and have welded them under the floor of the luggage area so everything just bolts straight in to the back I will have a parcel shelf covering over so its all hidden.

Strengthed up the front body mounts as the had a bit of flex in them as they were.

also found a nice small washer bottle that fits in nice, pump hidden underneath

need to sort out the bonnet still, might just try and find another one as the one i currently have has been crashed and is all crumpled at the front, has footprint dents all the way up it and is rot :S might be a bit beyond repair that one.

all in all though shes coming together! having all day on it tomorrow and really hoping ill be able to get it all wrapped up and ready to go off for its final blast before primer, bar the bonnet and unfinished roof which im just gonna have to wait for at the moment !

Nice one

Wings n doors are a ballache to do but the pattern parts are so shite that it's worth the effort.

I also wish I had money for a TIG welder cos door skins become much easier due to better control of the heat created.
