Default Ebay: include p&p or charge sensible amount extra

I've been suffering from "can't be arsed, want to return it" buyers recently.

Due to ebay liking listings with 'fast and free' I've been including p&p in my listings, but due to the above CBA type buyer, I have to refund the full amount they paid which included the postage.

So for those of you that do sell on ebay, do you include postage or do you only charge it separately for higher value to send items eg. 5+ postage value.

You'd have to refund the postage too, if you separated them. EBay want all sellers to behave like they've got the turnover of a multinational to just absorb the costs of dealing with the dickheads. I find the best way is to price my bits, inc. p&p, and at a fair start for an auction, or at a fixed price "buy now" with best offer option. This seems to avoid the "something for nothing" herberts.

Thanks, I didn't realise I'd have to refund either way so that scuppers that idea! At least if I include it its one less thing to get marked down on.

Exactly. Ebay is a buyers' market these days; as long as you take that into account and play their game by their rules you're ok. Best of luck.
