VZi Small Business Forum Volkszone has many entrepreneurs, self-employed and those who run their own companies. Please use this forum to ask (and answer) any small business related questions - employment law, tax laws, insurance, marketing, council rates, etc. Please DO NOT use it to tout for business or to plug your own company (please use the Yellow Pages forum for this) - any blatant 'plug' posts will be deleted and the posters may be reprimanded further. This is the ONLY warning you will receive - the idea is to help each others' businesses, not to take advantage - so please play nice.

I like that

But, \/ BB gets my vote.
Gimmick names and play on words are for hairdressers, and why not - it is a bit of fun.
But serious business needs a ‘proper’ name.
And, it needs to be your name, and your trade - that’s all.

Any company name should say who you are and what you do.

How about something simple like DC Metalworks.

It's loose enough that it covers anything made of metal. Cars, bikes, gates, hat stands...

This /\

However, you may need to be slightly more specific - ‘metalworks’ I think could get a lot of hairy arsed builders asking for RSJs, or Re-bar.

Some great suggestions here chaps, keep them coming!
I've almost finished making your "prize"

I'm currently leaning towards Dc66 (restoration and fabrication), but a few have made me laugh - "King of the ding" for instance!
Automotive coachwork DC (or "ACDC" for short has a certain ring to it)

DC Fabrication? Or DC Metal Fabrication?

I'll just throw Metal Mickey out there too

I think the DC66 needs to be in there

so we have Fabrication, restoration, metalwork, creating etc

how does

DC66 FabResto sound, a bit too corny

DC66 RestoFab sounds a lot better or switch it to RestoFab DC66
