    I got a 1915 engine for my beetle. And as a young'un obviously I want to know what the gearbox I have will top out at. Can't tell you what code it is but all I can tell you it's from a 1969 1500.

    After years of trying to score a NOS 1967 one year only 6 volt starter, I've managed to get one of my knackered ones completely refurbed. Chuffed is not the word! Not cheap but hopefully will be worth it. I'm going to get another done to keep as a spare whilst I can :)

    Hi, i have a 1500 vw beetle and its single port. My mate said he has a couple of webber carbs from his mini laying around, I want to change to a twin port but i dont want my mpg to get much more worse. At the moment i think im doing about 24 mpg, how much lower could it go as a twin?

    I've been having engine problems with my 1600, so it's heads are stripped down. So I needed another engine to keep me going for a couple of weeks, and bought (as far as I can tell) a mid sixties 1500. The seller said he'd put the 12v (200mm clutch) flywheel from a 1600 (obviously 12v) on it...
