Hi, driving locally today there was a cracking sound and a lot of tyre rub.
On the lower of the 2 adjusters, the centre bolt has come out and knackered the threads on the end of the bolt.
Have found out where to buy new grub screws, but now need to tap the beam to repair the slightly damaged...
Started fitting my new adjuster today to the beam of my 1974 bay window. Ive cut the holes where the adjuster has to go but.. i can get the top bearing to move but the lower one WILL not move any ideas how i can get them to move?

Help i have just welded some new sway aways into my 72 bettle front beam but i am having problems trying to put the torsion bars back in. Is there any special way to line them up with the hole in the sway away. Any help would be appreciated.
