Quick question, google results end up here back on VZI but i've used the search tool and although there are a lot of threads about the subject I can't see any numbers.
I've got a set of NOS Dellorto FRD 34's that I'm going to use for a hot 1300 SP build. I am aware I have to...
I asked this in 2009 and now I'm wondering again.
My ghia is as follows and I'm wondering what it's worth:
1969 with intermediate rear lights - not the biggies of late models. LHD cali import with a little minor body rot, but other wise very solid
Needs a respray, as respray from a...
I've got a Dellorto DLRA40 carb for sale from a Formula Vee. I'd bought it as I'd heard it might help my Vee go faster than a Weber, but I've sold the car before having a chance to try it.
I'm not 100% sure on the exact spec of the carb, I'll upload some pics later. I paid £150 for...
Selling a pair of the much desired original 34 FRD Dellorto twin carbs, complete with linkage, manifolds and air filters. These came off a beetle 1600 engine and gave really good MPG and performance. They will fit all beetle and camper twin ports and will work on other engine sizes too.
I have recently got hold of some twin Dellorto frd 34b carbs (baby dells) I will be fitting them to a standard 1641 engine.
This is the kit I have
Will the standard fuel pump be ok for the twins?
What do you do about the choke?
Do I need a crank case breather?
I have 009 dizzy so I'll...
Ok - installed a pair of Dellorto 40 DRLA carbs with one side manifold bossed. Got the thing idling well (after a rough "by ear" balance) with good response when booting the pedal stationary. However, big performance issue when driving it - seems ok in 1st if i'm not too heavy on the...
Dellorto 40 DRLA's Carburettors (Not webber)
Pair of Dellorto 40's DRLA in excellent condition. Bought these for my type 3 but have decided against it.
All parts needed for any model VW from here...
Hi people :)
I've just found a original italy made DHLA 48 carb that we have had for ages, it seems good (moves freely etc) so wondering how much would these roughly sell for? Also if they are any good for a turbo set up? Any other information about this type of carb would be of help seeing as...
What I cant understand with this carb deal is why you can run a single port 40mm weber carb without a choke and yet if you run two 40mm twin chokes you need to go right down to have chokes of 28mm . Additional a weber guide suggests the same size. When I spoke to Dellorto they insisted a 28mm...
A customer of ours has asked me to sell these on his behalf. They came with a beetle he bought, but were fitted to a 1600 and were not suitable for the application.
They're Jetted as such:
Emulsion Tubes - 9164.2
Main Jets - 140
Air Correction - 185
Pump Jets - 135
Idle Jets - 60
I've got a brand new set of CB Performance manifolds/ hex bar linkage and filter bases and tops to suit a set of Twin Dellorto Carbs for Type 1 engine
They have only ever been trial fitted, and were imported by me from America at (vast) expense!!! (its a shame they didnt fit the GP body.....)...
Hi all, I need a tune up so would like to find a VW Aircooled friendly rolling road in or around Hertfordshire.
I also wondered if it is worth having a sticky list of counties/areas and VW friendly rolling roads?
I have a twin choke DRLA on my 1641cc twin-port and have been advised to change over to twin carb's by my mechanic as he thinks it's a better setup.
WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS?
Some say my carb is better suited to to a bigger motor.
It's grunty as fook, but pulling off in 1st does feel...
Perhaps I should start at the beginning.

This was for an upcoming project...........
I bought a new case with new bearings throughout,scat c35 cam & gears,200mm flywheel,new 1641 barrels and...
