my doer upper/ spare engine has a DVDA distributor and from what i've heard: they were taken off before the cars were sold in some cases and you cannot get the cans for them etc. So are they crap or should i keep it and leave well alone? cheers... just wondering if i should swap before use;)

What would be the best dizzy to use? Vac advance or 009? I'll be more than likely running twin dell carbs. Also, vwheritage offer repro vac advance dizzys for just under £50 are they any good? Thanks, Adrian
