Hi, I'm exploring the possibility of converting my Beetle to a custom electronic injection set-up. Obviously there were injection models made by the factory, so I'm thinking I may be able to incorporate some factory components. My question concerns engine-speed sensing in order to time the...

after a 109 tooth flywheel that will take a 200mm clutch, I believe these were fitted to some t2 and t3 and maybe 67 beetles. I also think there's "non o-ring" and "o-ring" versions ideally would like an o-ring version as its going on a late crank. it's for a beetle don't want to have to...

Hello, today the engine came out of my T3 bus to have the flywheel seal changed. When we took the flywheel off and cleaned it up we saw a few cracks in the wheel. How bad is this and is it safe to use? Some pics.

hello to all at volkszone. I've been pulling my t4 engine apart to check for any problems, as its been sat for 3 years doing nothing, and have found 2 surface cracks in the flywheel. Hi folks, I've got to the stage of my engine build where I'm measuring up and setting the end float, i.e. long block basically complete. The problem I'm having is that there doesn't appear to be any noticeable end float, even when no shims are fitted. With the flywheel off, I get some...

I've been having engine problems with my 1600, so it's heads are stripped down. So I needed another engine to keep me going for a couple of weeks, and bought (as far as I can tell) a mid sixties 1500. The seller said he'd put the 12v (200mm clutch) flywheel from a 1600 (obviously 12v) on it...
