    yes I have done a search, it's an 85 mexi bug with ever I fill the tank the gauge just shows 3/4 I have done speedyjim's tests, with I unplug the wire the goto empty and when earth on the chassis it go to full. I am right in thinking it the sender that's at fault thanks martin

    my fuel gauge stopped working. i earthed the wire that comes out the sender to the body and it went all the way up so this tells me its not the actual gauge. i was told to buy another one so i got another one and still the same problem?!?! any ideas anyone? please!

    My newly acquired T3 fastback has a busted fuel gauge. Its not the sender (at least not JUST the sender) thats gone south, because the sender has no voltage at all. I have a manual for the T3, but its IN the t3, and thats at the workshop, and im here, so i cant really go and look up the...

    The fuel gauge on our 73 Bay stopped working, I did the test with grounding the gauge and it showed full. So I presumed that it must be the sender thats faulty. But I have noticed that the G light and the oil pressure light are also not lighting up. Any ideas ?
