I was hoping someone could help
I ordered a tmi headliner a few years ago but have never got around to fitting it, now I have found someone to do it for me, a classic car upholsterer but he has never worked on a VW bus headliner before (I'm in Spain)
The question is I wondered if I need more...
Does anybody have a set of instructions / and advise on fitting a multipart headliner kit into a 1967 VW Beetle I am restoring. It has arrived in many parts and it is not clear where I should start! Also is it worth installing sound deadening under the liner? Any other tips?
I have a boxed unopened headliner for sale. Its described on the packaging as
"Headliner VW Original Style W/Post MAt. 168 - 72 Bus with Sunroof * Off White Perforated Vinyl."
On the heritage site these are going for £225 how does £150 plus postage sound?
My 78 Bay Panel van needs a complete new headliner and i dont fancy doing the job myself (ive seen some horror stories:eek:)
Can anybody recomend someone in the South Wales or Bristol area to supply and fit?? I also work in the Staines area in Surrey so thats also a possibility.
im in the proccess of doing my interior in my 74 bay (twin slider) but im stuck for ideas with what to do with the headliner.at the minute there is no headliner, it is just bare metal. i want to cover my ceiling in fabric and the metal around the windows to neaten it up.
has anyone done this...
and now I really want a tee shirt saying so :D :D :D
The saga started when trying to arrange with DB Cartrim to do my Headlining, I received an email saying "moving out of workshop, not doing headlinings any more just retrims - sorry"
So I think sod it - I'll do my own......
I made a start...
