I have up for grabs a double heat riser system, please see Photos, included is the manifold including the twin port ends (not pictured), compatible exhaust and carb.
At an extra cost I can include the tinware and I also have an unused stainless exhaust that has the twin riser outlet.
I have no...
How To Use Wrinkle Texture Paint
Many older interiors and components were finished with a wrinkle, crinkle or crackle, effect paint. Now you can reproduce the same finish in a few hours from an aerosol spray can. Great for early M.G. dashboards, Ferrari and Lotus cam covers, electrical...

Bought a new carb and inlet manifolds as the HS30 was the wrong one for my 1600 engine, went to change the manifolds over today and they new ones didn't fit :(
Heres the one I took off, notice the locating pin hole
And heres the new to me one without any pin hole :(

can anyone confirm the thread on a 1600 tp inlet manifold stud.
I'm under the impression that they are M8, and I was in the process of swapping them for bolts as its easier get the manifolds on but looks like I've stripped the threads on the left rear stud position.
Anyway can anyone...
Everyone loves the throb of a scooby engine, and I'm sure most of you will know the sounds made by the exhaust manifolds being odd lengths.
Reckon if you altered the exhaust manifolds on a bug engine you'd get a similar result?
I was just wondering if anyone has tried to install the inlet manifold while the engine is in situ? I've had a look and due to the lip on the head, the bolts look near impossible to remove - is there an easier method to remove these, it is possible to file off the lip?
I'm also struggling with...
I am looking for an exhaust for my beetle that exits through the standard exit holes in the rear valance.
Would love a csp exhaust but thats really expensive, anyone got any thing suitable for sale?
I know this has been asked before but what steps are required to remove the manifold on a 1600 bay that does not have the hatch above the engine?
I'm a patient man so will spend the necessary time wiggling and cursing to remove and replace the necessary items.
I've got a pair of extra short IDF/DRLA manifolds here for a Type 3 setup.
Hardly used (less than 200 miles) and suitable for 36/44/45/48 twin DRLAs or IDFs.
£60 plus postage, or collect from me in Manchester... pics to follow when the camera's charged up.
alright i'm very close to finishing up doing my first engine overhaul but i dont remember how to attach my single port intake manifold to the cylinder head;
i tried putting the manifold in and there was about a cm gap, then, about a week later, i realised that there was this little bugger of...
Gene Berg manifold and linkage for Dellorto DRLAs / Webber IDFs (I think). All you need to bolt up and go. I bought these direct from Gene Berg last summer and not used them. These were bought for Dellorto 40s and you will need both parts to make it work. All parts new and have not been...
Hi, my 1973 1303 Beetle has started to stall when it should be idling! As I'm new to Beetles, I'm not too sure how to cure the problem, bought a new condenser and air filter today, that seemed to cure the problem for 5 minutes, then took her out for a test drive & it started stalling again, also...
