going to order a tacho up as just got my bug and am used to having a rev counter in my old car but how do i go about fitting it, also are there 2 different types electronic and mechanical? any help muchos appreciated ;)

I've got a rather nice 3 inch Smiths electronic rev counter that I just bought but I really wanted a 4 inch diameter one. Apparently it came out of a MGB. Anyone want to swap it for a 4 inch diameter one? Thanks :D
