the video gives you a step by step video tutorial who to replace the rear shock absorber at a Passat 35i. The repair starts with the removal of the interior panelling, then dismounting and disassembling the strut:
The video has a German soundtrack but English subtitles are added to...
Does anyone have a Inner arch, body mount area cut from a pre '67 Bug? (For a '66 Bug)
Needs to be solid, with no previous repairs. Preferably to have some of the surrounding area of inner arch as well.
I need both left and right hand sides.
Ive recently lowered the front suspension of my 1970 vw beetle. I bought a pair of lowered shocks, the one fits perfectly and is on, the other wont fit on the trailing arm?!
Is there a bushing on it that I need to remove? If so how do I remove this?
Has anyone fitted SPAX shock absorbers to a lower van (~4inches) and got advise on the merits or otherwise.
I would be interested to know what other suspension modifications were made from standard such as anti roll bars.

Id like to change the height (stance) of my 71 beetle.

when i bought my 68 beetle as a project it had had the front end lowered (on the torsion beams ithink ) and the beam narrowed to fit the mk 1 golf gti wheels on but now the cars on the road its really bumpy at the front is this to do with the beam or the shocks nackered ?
