I have a 1971 T2 with an engine I have rebuilt about 6 months ago.. It has 1641 Bs&Ps, standard everything else I think in there to.. I bought a couple of Spanish webber 34 ICT's from JK but haven't managed to start the engine yet and its really frustrating.!!!

do any of you kind people have a valve pushrod for a 1975 T2 1800cc.
Size is 12mm in diameter by 271mm in length.
Obviously I will be willing to pay for the item including postage.

might sound really stupid but how do iset the valve clearences up properly, i have a 1914cc engine that i have just fitted but i want to service it before i run it it like , i hve the feeler gauge but what do i need to do like step by step for the the whole process ?? any help would be great as...
Out with the boy for a spin on the weekend and the car pulled up like it was out of fuel...
Got towed home and checked a few things;
Fuel guage (good)
swapped out the plastic in line petrol filter (between pump and carb) for a length of good hose, loads of crap...
just had my carbs re balanced and was told i had a misfire on cylinder one on closer inspection i have found white oily resadue in the filler neck would this be head gasket or a breather problem have got new leads and plugs and i am re doing the valves any ideas would be great thanks
I've just bought a brand new mexican 1600 TP head for the van. I'm not sure its been machined correctly as one valves sits a fair bit higher than the other ones.
3 of the 4 all have a machined spotface but the fourth one sits proud
