As far as I know all the 12v choke elements are the same size.......
I've just converted the 6v 1200 engine in my '63 Ghia to 12volts and found that the '63 carb (Solex 28 Pict) has a smaller (6 volt) choke element than the later carbs so after taking advice on here I was advised to get a scrap Solex 28 Pict-1 and change the carb tops over, as the 28 Pict-1 (which I think came out in '64 and is still of course 6v) has the same size choke element as the later 12v cars .......
I did the carb top swap, got a 12v element from MegaBug and it all works a treat.....

;)
