Following on from Schneeky's threads about the quickest 1641cc bugs in the country. We are trying to find out who would be interested in taking part in straight heads-up racing at RWYB during Bug Jam.

Criteria would be:

1/ Normally aspirated Type 1 engined 1641cc bug
2/ Current MOT
3/ Floorpan car
4/ Slicks are allowed

So things not allowed:

1/ Trailered cars
2/ No buggies
3/ No rails
4/ No turbo's
5/ No buses
6/ No NOS

The idea behind this is to get away from bracket racing (no disrespect to you guys) and go heads-up in affordable street and strip cars that can/are used on a daily basis.

Let us know what you think about the idea and if you would be interested in taking part.

If the numbers are good and it goes well on the day we will put it to the VWDRC commitee members to see if we could have our own class in the future.

So it's up to you guys/gals if you fancy taking part in some heads-up racing just let us know.

I will take a pop at it, Although it wont be untill next year, Im trying to build a "tasty" 1641 engine, going to give it a try on twin old school reece fish carbs ala 70's old speed stylee!
