For some reason the indicators are now refusing to work with the ignition on. Turn it of and the indicators work fine.

Any ideas as they worked fine up until about a week ago. I have bought 3 new relays in the hope it was that but to no avail.

Its just plain odd. I can indicate when I'm stopped but as soon as I turn the key they just stop.

Would an eath leak on the ignition system pull power away from the indicators?????

This bus is UK spec without Hazard switch and with separate brake lights?

Find the + terminal on the flasher.
Should have a wire to the fuse.

Put voltmeter on + terminal.
Should read 12v.

Now, switch on indicator, with key ON.
See if there is still 12V on the + terminal.

If no 12V, trace it back thru the fuse (poor contact, etc.).

Post back and Moby can pick up in the morning...

All sorted.

For some reason the 3rd wire running to the back of the speedo to the bulb to show that your indicatora are working is linked to the ignition system. So I ran this third wire to an earthing point and hey presto the indicators work with ignition on and off. No light on the speedo to tell you that they are on but hey they work
