Hi,

I'm new to VZI and I'm looking for advice.

I want to buy a restored Ghia (1960 to 1968 preferred). Does anyone know what Californian Classics in Saint Leonards on Sea are like? As regards to quality, workmanship, customer service, as I know this is something that will not be cheap. I would hate to spend a lot of money with a company I am not sure on.

Thanks for you advice/reviews in advance.

Welcome to the forum.

I've not dealt with them, nor have I checked all of CC's vehicles - but they recently won the prestigious 'Europe's Most Beautiful VW' trophy with one of their Ghias - it was a stunning car.

Ask them if they can give you contact details of a few previous customers.

Good luck. :) (y)

They are well known & have an excellent reputation
Your first port of call really ought to be the KGOC (Karmann ghia Owners Club) to get a feel of the cars
