Oh. I know I have seen the this basic air intake valve on other buses. Mine is an 81 vanagon. Fuel injected.

There is a alan wrench adjustment on the air intake valve. How do you know if it is in the correct position or if it needs adjusting? How do you go about adjusting it?

That is a very fine adjustment meant to calibrate
the emissions. You will probably not be able to see any
difference.
