Well after lots of faffing about and fettling, the golf mk2 wiper motor fits.
I got slow and fast speeds, just need to sort the parking now.
Just about ready to start masking up the body for spraying with high build primer.
Got my daughters wedding next week, so nowt will be done for a little while now.
still I could do with a break from car restorations.

Tony
i hope you have an amazing time at the wedding 馃槏

Well the wedding was great.
Then we had a long weekend in Anglesea.
But the car is on hold as the neibhours are having some building work done and there is dust everywhere.
No point in trying to do body work with all the dust about.
Going to re roof and re fit my workshop instead.

Gawd the ammount of dust building work produces.
Car still on hold and i expect it will be a while before I dare uncover it.
New roof going on the workshop...slowly, though rain has stopped play for now. :(

i hope you don't need a new roof because its getting wet inside. building work always seems to take forever, with the bank holiday coming up, i bet it will take even longer! 馃樄 :p

I had severe Squirel damage to the roof and ceiling, so it all had to come off and be replaced.
Took the opertunity to raise the front of the roof by 12 inches to give more head room and over head storage.
Put two velux windows into the back of the roof as well to let in more natual light.
The workshop/shed is having a full rebuild so I can have a proper metal working area with power and lights.

Well the car is still on hold as the dust is awful and I have soo many other jobs to do.
But I have been thinking...always a bad sign.
I am not going to bother trying to paint the car this year, instead I shall finish it completley and leave it in epoxy primer till next year.
That way I can drive it and fettle it before I commit to paint.
So with that in mind I shall be tackling the inside as soon as I can, then I will fit all the lights, glass and seals and drive the arse of it to see what brakes and need sorting.

The mojo has never gone away, just do not have the time to do anything to her.
plus the shit from the building work next door is awful.
I have even had concrete splashed over my van and that is parked 12ft away from where they are working... sheesh.

It was only a few spots and no damage was done.
They know about it but I am not pushing it as I still have to live next door.
Still they put up with me angle grinding on the cars.

Car has been put on hold for the rest of the year as we are having lots of building work done to the house.
Had a wall down and new ceilings and lights fitted.
Trying to lay 50sqm of tiles now, long slow job.
Trying to do small bits to the interior of the car as and when I can.

Building work sucks. Not just the work but the amount of upheaval and dust it creates.
We've just had the old downstairs part of the house insulated and plastered and theres a heat pump being installed next month along with new radiators and pipework as apparently they won't work with microbore pipework so its doing to be all floors up to replace.

We had a wall down between the kitchen and dining room, lathe and plaster ceilings taken down, (oh gawd the mess that makes).
Spot lights fitted and new plug sockets fitted.
I have since boarded the dining room floor to bring the level up ready for tiling.
Painted the walls and ceilings.
And now I am tiling the floor, doing from the conservatory right through and down the hall and into the bathroom, all of 50 sqm worth....Bugger.
Oh yes I fitted a new back door as well, like you do whan you have nothing to do. :)
