My combi boiler is playing up.

The hot water works fine but when the central heating is also on I get no end of problems with it overheating and shutting down. Its dead intermitment but what is basically happening is the boiler kicks into life but when you turn the tap or heating off it stays lit, the pump shuts down as expected and then as a result the boiler overheats and shuts itself down.

Im leaning towards maybe a sticky gas valve??? When it has shut down its also a bugger to get the pilot light lit again, could this be something to do with the thermostat???

Its a shite Ravenheat boiler only about three yrs old though.

Thanks,

Adrian

I don't, well not yet anyway but I would like to sort the problem before winter and also the fact that it pisses water out when it shutsdown making a mess and losing pressure.
