Seem to have a problem with my phone. This morning it was working fine, but then i got one of those flashing messages and an error saying memory full, please delete some data.

I had 4 messages in my inbox, so i've emptied my inbox again, emptied my drafts, my sent etc etc

I've also deleted some pictures and checked my memory card has plenty of free room.

I've turned it off, taken the battery and sim out, taken the memory card out and put it all back in. Still shows the error and the flashing message, but i can't find any other data to delete!

I even tried to delete some old contacts but it said there wasn't enough free room to delete any contacts.

I'm completly confused, anyone have any ideas?

Make sure you haven't left some apps running in the background - Series60 seems to sometimes give those sorts of messages when it has run out of 'application memory'..

(oops, just noticed you've already done a hard reboot so probably won't help - unless you have apps starting up with the phone?)

oo i had that on my N80- think i sorted it by going into the messages stored on the SIM card and deleting them, every time you get a network message it stores it on the sim card as well, so when you delete them from the fone they stay on the sim card.

go to messaging (dont click through to inbox), options, them select "Sim messages" then delete everything in there.

Can't do a hard reset till friday when i go back home and have the software and cable.

All applications that i dont use have been uninstalled, i tried deleting my logs but there's not enough memory to delete the logs, i have 0b of phone memory. So is there any possible way of getting a little of my phone memory back to delete the logs?

Edit: never mind i've managed to get it working, so far anyway so i'll see how it goes
