i have a fuse that has blown on a voltage reducer as a part of our phone system here at work and the fuse has a rating on it that reads 36/1 KBA. I have stuck a 5amp fuse in it's place and it works but I am worried that it's to higher ampage.

I have done a few searches on Google and have found nothing. I am guessing that this is an old rating and now has a modern equevilent?

Any Ideas anyone?

Is it a clear fuse ? The anti-surge and slow blow type ones have a coily bit part the way through.

It might mean (and i am guessing) 3A to 6A surge and 1A normal running...

Is there nothing else written on the metal edges of it ?

Sorry this is prob no help :(
