Ive got a Dell Latitude, dont have that problem with mine
My wife works at Dell - just asked her about it, and although she works on the services side of things and not hardware, she has suggested if it's still under warranty (how old is it?) - to get Dell to send you another power cable. This will hopefully cure the problem.Ballbag said:INSPIRON 6000 laptop?
Do you have any problems with the power cable jack plug?

Check the reg number on the battery - and check against the list on the Dell website. If it appears on there then call Dell and tell them - don't know what they'll do though - new battery I s'pose can't see them giving away new computers!!Hendrixmaster said:What's up with this exploding battery mumbo jumbo :incheek:
I've had my dell (the right model) for ages, and nothing's gone wrong. But it says, if it explodes, I get a brand new todays version of the computer....which means I'll get an XPS ... if the laptop is ruined by the battery exploding.
