I always just use ad-ware just do a search, there's loads of download sites.

I don't know if it's the best one out there though, one of the techies on here may be able to advise of something else.
go for it techies....if you want to of course :)
lavasoft - adaware free for personal use - manual updates tho BUT very good - just remember to do it often [upgrade ;) ]

get rid of Norton and go for AVG free when u can - as it can sometimes slow a system up on it' sown - kinda goes into a checking self checking cycle..........

hey here's a link too

uninstall norton, that'll speed it up :)
I use Adaware 6 Pro, but this aint free, unless its a hacked version and also run Spybot with it, if they dont find anything your 99.9% certain your PC will be clean.

Get Spybot from its own webby though not any free download site, afterall it is free anyway ;)

Install then update and run ;)

.
I use Lavasoft Ad-Aware to check for everything and SpywareBlaster to keep it all away once clean - www.javacoolsoftware.com

And yeah ditch anything to do with norton and get AVG and if you're running XP use it's firewall or if you're not use Zone Alarm.
Yep, Ad-aware, but i prefer Avast over AVG, definately not norton.
I updated the FAQ with some more up to date info on this sort of thing:
