Just happened a few hours ago at the end of my street:

Bus driver was indicating to turn left into that junction but instead he continued on into me

What really annoyed me was the fact he kept repeating "you shouldn't have pulled out" to me like a stuck record.

I have five witnesses (including the one passenger on the bus!) who say he was indicating!

think it goes down as your fault dude :(
Thing is I was hardly over the line anyway as you can see (the other wheel hadn't even gone over the line). I was trying to be extra careful as I was towing a trailer.

Still doesn't alter the fact that the bus driver is a cock!

At the end of the day it's £25 for a new wing from GSF and the car is still working and no body was hurt. Car was only £250 anyway. Ho hum...

I there.

I work as a Litigation Specialist for some of the major insurers in the UK.

All though in the first instance you may think you are at fault, this isnt true. If your witnesses have seen the mis-leading signal given by the bus driver, then you will have a split liability case, so you will accept some responsibility for the accident but not all of it.

There is case law related to this kind of accident, I dont recall the name of the case but it assists your claim and your insurers should know this.

I can dig it out when I am at work tomorrow for you, you should not accept full responsibility on this case, I will even send you the case law to send to your insurers.

If you want anymore information, get in touch, I would be willing to help you anyway I can :D

Has it gone to action or not, if it hasnt id just chalk it up to experience and save no claims cos as you say car was cheap and replacement panel if needed is cheap too

No there was a bus stop before that junction. Which he hadn't stopped at. Bus driver did say however he was 10mins late...

Still stuff it - it'll not cost much to repair we'll just swallow the cost - not worth it on the insurance.
