bug cutting out

1300 single port ticks over stunnin but when accelerating struggles to go then will evetually stall leave it for 5 mins fire it up and it will run sweet then play up all over again,

any ideas!!

do you have a fuel filter?? (if not why not)
is there fuel in it?
if so disconect the pipe that runs from the tank from the fuel pump end, does fuel flow freeley??
if so overhall carb/clean it out
