caliper rebuild

trying to rebuild some bay calipers,can i get away without splitting them as the nuts dont seem to wanna move in a hurry,and whats the best way to paint them,caliper paint or powder coating (obv only if split ;) ) cheers

When you say rebuild ?

It would be so much better and easier to split them.
put the calipers in a vice, get a 6-point socket 1/2 inch drive and crack thoses fuckers off.
i split my calipers to rebuild them.
