Hey guys...

Im not to sure where to post this ,but here goes.

I drive a 99 model chico golf, 1300cc, a few months ago i rear ended a guy, after repairs, the wiper spray thing didnt work, i left it at that, didnt really care. But now the wipers dont wanna switch off.Ive had to pull the fuse out to stop them

Any ideas on what it is ??

If you think thats bad, I drive a 1972 beetle, i didn't rear end anything, got in my car last night (dark and raining) and for some reason the windscreen wipers and fullbeams didn't work!!

Hope that helps ;)

It may be totally unrelated, but the shunt may have affected the steering column safety collapsible mountings, which may have affected the wash wipe switch, or damaged the wiring. Get the column checked urgently.
The wash wipe switch is fairly easy to replace, check if GSF do one for your model / year. Also try posting this on the H2O section, lots of watercooled issues solved there.
